Poker faces

The gambling paid off at the Fairmont Royal York on Oct. 13 at the 16th annual Hold’em for Life Charity Challenge, where Toronto business and real estate leaders gathered for the black-tie affair. Co-chairs Gavin Cheung, president and partner of CentreCourt, and Bob Blazevski, president and COO of Diamond Corp., with the help of more than 500 attendees, raised over $3.2 million at the thrilling night of entertainment and philanthropy, with the proceeds going toward cancer research at the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine and nine affiliated teaching hospitals.
