80-plus driving test is reasonable
A letter writer seems to be quite upset that those over 80 are required to test to keep their driver’s licences. Despite the inconvenience of having to do so, it seems “test” is used in the broadest sense of the word. An acquaintance informed me the test consisted of an eye check and being asked to draw the hands of a clock to show 11:10. It is the generation who can only read digital time who are really in big trouble!
