Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Travel Tuesday — many travel companies are offering their biggest sales of the year right now. Happily, this window of deals coincides with another annual tradition in Canada as winter looms: pining for sun (or perfect powder), and dreaming of far-flung adventures in the new year.

For inspiration, we’ve rounded up some of the best travel deals, and where to book or read the fine print.

Marriott

Marriott is the world’s largest hotel company, so their Cyber Week sale is sweeping. You can book at thousands of participating hotels worldwide, so choose from spots near (W Toronto, Le Westin Tremblant) and far (say, the new JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort Suites in Thailand). In Canada, 220 hotels (out of a possible 273) are participating. The best deal — 20 per cent off — is available to members of their freeto-join loyalty program, Marriott Bonvoy; otherwise, non-members can still get 15 per cent off.

Accor

Accor’s Black Friday deal applies to more than 50 participating properties, including hotels under the Fairmont and Sofitel banners, across North and Central America. You can get up to 30 per cent off room rates — plus, if you’re a member of their free-to-join loyalty program (ALL — Accor Live Limitless), you can get another 5 per cent off. Winter enthusiasts might consider the Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello, while sunseekers may opt for the Sofitel Mexico City Reforma.
